UNESCO – Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe

The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe has the mandate to support the implementation of UNESCO’s programme on culture and natural sciences with a special geographical focus on South-East Europe. 
The Bureau’s action comprehends activities on issues ranging from cultural and natural heritage management to mainstreaming culture and the sciences in sustainable development programmes at local, national and regional levels - in line with the 2030 Agenda.
Activities include the provision of technical assistance and advice to improve institutional and normative frameworks, capacity-building, knowledge brokering, and facilitating international cooperation with and among the Member States under its mandate.
